Do I need to make a custom boot for DayZ?

Hey,

Want to buy the DayZ hack but wondering if I need to make a custom boot? I HAD to do this for BFV and support never helped me to do this. I was able to play BFV for an hour or so before crashing.

I’d like to play DayZ without the custom boot/crashes.

Can anyone tell me if I can do this?
