Battlefield 4 IP ban?

If I cheat on one character and get banned, will that ban go to my IP or just on the character? So if i get a new bf4 account i can play again.

it is unlikely that would happen but it is possible it is best to change your ip should you get banned before making a new account and purchasing a new game
