If you are looking for a phone without gps to stay off grid or something, I hope you know your location can be triangulated by comparing signal strength and direction of different towers

Берете любой на андройде. В сервисе выпиливаете чип. Потом в конфиге под рутом гасите обращения к нему. Но смысл, если половина программ по слежению не использует gps. А элементарно устанавливает положение по триангуляции с базовых станций.

Value village / salvation army usually has old flip phones. Find something from 2000 and see if you can activate it with your provider.

Just use a burner phone and they do the job but obviously some of them do have GPS and also when you connect your sim card you do sort of reveal your location so is best to purchase a burner phone with also what's called ghost simcard (other names as well) where you just tweak with your sim card and disable it's location function but still connect to your provider.

The provider always knows where your phone is. The only way out is an anonymous SIM (or issued to another person). In this case, your phone is better to leave all in another place as the sample by phone 20 meters from the location of your room is very easy to get.

The GPS is just a receiver.
The Phone itself such as the hardware and operating system need to be free and open source.

Modern projects include

PinePhone by Pine64
and Librem 5.

Doesn't matter if it has GPS or not. In any somewhat populated area, you can be located within 50meters with pure tower data. Often a lot closer.

If you want to be cool that no one is watching you, the best option is a cheap button phone like siemens, sony ericsson or nokia.

It all depends on your goals. You can buy either old models without GPS or you can programmatically disable the GPS adapter. Please describe in more detail what you will do.

As far as I know, a cellphone can be tracked without GPS.
I don't have many details, but the basic principle is that two different towers of the mobile phone company receive your normal signal from different directions.
With this, you can easily get your position by constructing a triangle.

Yes, the lack of GPS chip will not protect you from tracking!
