Anyone know how to set my avatar? When I go to the profile setting theres just a button that says "do not use avatar" and no other options

you don't have the access to do so.... . once you become a VIP member by purchasing a subscription, you should be able to change your avatar.

oh ok. I've bought cheats many times, do I just need to remember the next time I buy one to change my avatar?

yep.
