How common are bans?

Hello, i'm interested in cheating a bunch of different games, including older games.
I'm aware cheating gets you banned at some point, however I havent cheated for years. It seems almost every game is a lot more strict/risky nowadays. I find it hard to tell how risky certain games are.
Is there a history of detections per game or something?
And how common are bans for older games?

More specifically wondering about these games:
GTA 5 online
Counter strike source
Battlefield bad company 2
Battlefield 3

Bans are rare and are due to players playing blatantly. So if you play safe there is very little chance you will ever get banned

Being banned has many factors.. One of the biggest factors is how someone uses the cheat. How obvious are you using the cheat, are you ghosting through the walls, one shot kills, speed hacks, etc... There are games that use systems like overwatch or fairfight that look for statistical indications that you're cheating.. Another way to get banned is through manual/player reporting..

With the games you listed, I've played most of them and the most common method of being banned is through manual reporting.
